Whew!! What a whirlwind! After half the year stre

Whew!! What a whirlwind!

After half the year stressing, scrambling, scheming, snapping Embark has come@to an end. 🫣🫨

Every two weeks another theme came about with a strict set of criteria to meet. Then it went up against 100ish other amazing photographers from ALL over the world to compete for top 10 (the highest award until the final overall critiques!). And along with that came the eagle-eye feedback!

Stressful? ✅ Sweat-inducing? ✅ Swears? ✅

And what did I walk away with?! A pretty great little portfolio with some really fun images I'm not sure I would have dreamt up otherwise! 🙌🏻 Oh plus 6 Top 10's and an overall category win (maybe I have Mucca to mostly thank for that one!!)! 🔥💯

Shoutout to @tiffanykmeyer for being my cheerleader and commiserate-r and for not minding my late-night Saturday check-ins to see how her submission was going. 🥰😅

Photographer friends, if you've yet to do Embark, I say go for it!

Not gonna lie, I had an entirely different vision for this submission in mind, but with swarms of mosquitos (first attempt) and 4mo puppy energy you pivot! And in the end I love how this portrait turned out. 🤍🤍
