One might say frames are a great way to box something in.
I say they’re a great way to point something out!
They can accentuate that long, hairy nose. They can magnify a pair of big “I can’t say no to those” eyes.
Face Decor!
By now, we all know that I like pets that look like people. I mean, they DO have personalities. There’s a reason they’re not called pet-sonalities, right?
In an interview that I can’t properly quote because I don’t remember where I saw it, William Wegman expressed his disapproval of dogs in sunglasses. As much as I love the guy and honor all of the work he does, I can’t disagree more!
Glasses, whether they be reading, dailies, bifocals, blue-screen blocking, LeVar Burton Trekkie wrap arounds, etc. bring a level of “people” to my pet models. And I freaking love it.
These kinds of photos just make me smile.
Plus Wegman has dogs in wigs, so there’s that. (Which I also totally love, btw.)
Glasses for the masses!
Now, for some they are an absolute necessity. There is, however, a solution for you rare puppers that can see the alarm clock when you wake up in the middle of the night.
That’s my husband. He’s a freak of nature (I say that in the most lovingly, yet a little jealous way).
Pop the lenses out! Voila! Style AND Sight! Plus they’re easier to photograph.
Did I tell you about the time I didn’t wipe the glasses off before a photoshoot? That was yesterday. Pic #3 of Mucca. It sucked. Carol + Hours in Photoshop = Magic
So here is a short collection of the best frames that I have in the studio for anyone to enjoy. I love them because they really can change the feel of the photo and the story it conveys.
